Finally we have established exactly where in Toddington we are going to depart from.
We are pleased to say that the Oddfellow Arms right on the village green in the centre of Toddington are happy to act as hosts for our departure at 8pm on the 11th November. Thanks to Dave the landlord for supporting us and there is a rumour that he might co-incide the event with a beer festival that weekend........typical we won't be there to enjoy it!
We've also made a few more changes to the website, the logo has been altered slightly and we now have our tweets appearing directly on our home page.

The Pace Quickens
With now less than 6 months until D Day, inevitably things are starting to hot up so quite a bit's happened over the last couple of weeks;-
Last weekend Jon and Kev went to the BMF show at Peterborough and picked up a couple of Airoh S4 Enduro helmets for a good price and Jon got too test out his Wolfman luggage for the first time......well impressed.
Kev's bike has just got through it's MOT and had new tyres, chain and sprockets fitted, all at cost, courtesy of DBC Motorcycles in Dunstable. Martin there, also gave up his time to show me how to change the tyres and chain.
Our GSI cooking pots have arrived from the states and are just the ticket, big enough to cook for the 3 of us but really light.
Kev is rapidly ticking off items on his kit list; cutlery, crockery, other cooking gear, washing up bowl, new jacket and trousers for the trip.
Jas is watching a couple of Dakars, once he has got it we will all try to squeeze in some off-road training.
Next week we will do the rounds in Toddington to select the departure venue, we can then get the flyers printed and start to up the publicity. Jas has hopefully got us a slot on Three Counties BBC Radio to promote the trip and during June we will be at the Adventure Film Festival organised by none other the Austin Vince and Lois Pryce!! and 2 weeks later the 3 of us will be at Ripley......looking for bargains and promoting the trip, and no doubt participating in an occassional beer!
