The Three Musketeers or something like that!

OK so it's perhaps not the most flattering picture in the world but at least we are smiling.

Great weekend at the Horizons Unlimited Meeting at Ripley, caught up with a few people and have made some useful contacts. 

It was the first opportunity for the three of us to catch up and talk about the finishing touches for the trip. 

Big J who had to drop out of the trip was there too and there's a chance Jason may buy his bike which is ready to go, so will save alot of time and prep.

Jon has hopefully secured us some local off-road training and  I've found someone who can make bespoke parts like engine guards etc.

All in all a successful weekend.

Horizons Unlimited Meeting

Just finished packing for the Horizon's meet at Ripley.  I'm heading up tomorrow morning, Jon and Jason are coming up Friday.  This might be the only shake down trip we get! 

Will be a good opportunity to plug our trip and we have the collection boxes at the ready, plus I'm sure there will be some more kit that needs to be bought, plenty of planning to do and many beers to be drunk.........can't wait.

The Dog's...

Just got a pair of Sidi Adventure boots at trade price for DBC motorcycles (Cheers Steve and Martin) so I had to go for a spin to test them out....very impressed.

Also tested out my new Neowell jacket and trousers for the first time, and the Airoh helmet....probably looked like a prize tosser touring the byways of Bedfordshire.

 Considering the clothing is  pretty much bargain basement I was pleasantly surprised, the air vents on the jacket worked well.

The stickers have also arrived, just in time for the Horizons Unlimited meeting in a couple of weeks so have the charity collection boxes, so we'll drop a couple off at the Oddfellows in the next few days.

Adventure Travel Film Festival

Just got back from the Adventure Travel Film Festival, great to meet some inspirational people like Austin Vince, Lois Pryce and Sam Manicon amongst others.  The whole event was great and can thoroughly recommend it for next year.

Gave out lots of our new flyers so hopefully that will raise the profile of our trip plus got hold of a few more bits and pieces for the trip.  Thanks to Les from Travel Dri Plus for the Kriega Hydration bag, water filter and dry bag and to Gabe from Zen Overland for the Motion Pro tools.
