Publicity for the trip in the local paper

To drum up a bit of publicity, today's Luton News featured an article on our trip.  Kev was interviewed in Monday at the papers office.  As the event gets nearer we really want to raise the awareness of the trip locally to increase donations to our appeal.

Jason has aquired his bike for the trip. So now all three of us have got twin spark Dakars.

As you can see from the pic Jason's bike came with quite a few extras included; radiator grill, lower mud guard, heavy duty engine guard with tool box, after market chain and front sprocket guards, larger screen, hand guards, engine bars plus alot more.

With just over 3 months to go it's all starting to finally come together.

Thankyou to the Luton branch of the Kiwanis International for pledging to donate £250 to our appeal, it is very much appreciated this takes our total to over £600.  Still a long way to go to reach our target of £5000!

Just got my Barkbusters hand guards to replace the existing plastic ones........I'd rather have metal protecting my hands when (not if) I fall off.  I've just got to work out how to fit them now.  Progressive Hyperpro springs for front and rear on on order from Motorworks.
